We came in to this semi final quietly confident, i changed the formation today to put us on the front foot but also keep us covered up at the back.

We were fast out of the traps and created a number of chances in the opening minutes but we eventually too a deserved lead with a close range finish from Ethan. We were on top and kept pushing for the second and stretch our lead with a well worked corner finished off by Jake, the boys were confident and pushing Prudhoe back, Prudhoe got back in to when allowed the centre midfielder to run through us without a tackle to give them hope, however the boys response was great with Kieron finishing off a move we practice in training.

Second half got a little sloppy as we started to tire and lose our shape, Prudhoe got back in to the game with a goal that shouldn't have been given if the referee was in a better position and sees the hand ball in the lead up to the goal. We could have got deeper but our intent was obvious attack was the best form of defence and we could and should have scored a few more goals.

It was great to see the boys enjoy that moment when they realised there hard work has got them to the final
